Edu Bus helps schools, bus supervisors, and parents manage school bus trips, student attendance, arrival alerts, and live bus tracking.
Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, role, and school.
- Student information such as name, assigned bus, address, attendance, and trip status.
- Location data including school location, student meeting points, and bus location during active trips.
- Notification data such as device push tokens and notification delivery targets.
- Optional uploaded school images or profile images.
Background location
Edu Bus collects location data to enable live bus tracking, arrival alerts, and school safety monitoring during an active bus trip, even when the app is closed or not in use. Location tracking is intended for bus supervisors during active trips only. Tracking stops when the trip ends.
How we use information
- To show parents and school admins the bus location during active trips.
- To send pickup, arrival, drop-off, absence, and safety notifications.
- To manage buses, users, students, attendance, and school operations.
- To improve reliability, prevent misuse, and maintain school records.
Sharing
Information is shared only with authorized users in the same school, such as admins, bus supervisors, and the relevant parent account. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and security
Edu Bus stores data using Firebase services. Access is restricted by user role and school. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect data.
Data deletion
Parents and school users may contact the school administrator to request correction or deletion of account or student data, subject to school record requirements.
